Had vaccine yesterday morning and started feeling sick , joint pains and headache by 6pm . Feel really awful , head and body really hurting despite 4 hourly paracetamol.
Someone give me some hope that this doesn’t last much longer please !

Same. I feel so ill, the nurse said 24-48 hours so I'm hoping! Others I know who've had it and had side effects said they felt rough anywhere from 1-7 days ..

Sorry your ill too , i had Covid 6 weeks ago and it wasn’t as bad as this ! Temperature keeps going up to 38.9 .

Interesting that you've had Covid. Anecdotally I've heard ghat people who've had it react more to the jab. No idea if that's true... hope you feel better soon.

I did wonder what happens to the immune system if you’ve already had it and then get the vaccine but couldn’t find the answer (I’m a bit of a nerd I think lol)

Hi. I had my vaccine yesterday at 10am. (astrazeneca).
At 6pm last night I started with a fever, and shaking, aching body. Had an awful night ranging between sweating and shivering and dreaming. Felt very groggy today with a headache and I've had a fever of 40 degrees the whole time (even after taking paracetamol). It's 6pm now and I've just noticed I'm feeling alot better after sleeping for most of the day!im so glad I've had it though

I dont know the answer either. I have been wondering too. [I have had long covid but not the jab]. Hope you feel better soon, and keep us informed, if you dont mind.

I had my astra Zeneca yesterday at 11.30, felt absolutely fine all day and then at about 7.30 it hit me like a ton of bricks - raging fever, shivers, every part of me ached, cracking headache. Went to bed and tossed and turned all night, slept in short bursts but never proper sleep, if that makes sense?

Got up this morning and have been dozing all day, fever has gone but still floppy and achy. Feel miles better though, and after a shower and lots of water I feel much more normal. Ready for a cup of tea and some dinner!

Over the moon to have had it though, more than happy to have had a weekend of feeling crap to be safer going forwards.

AstraZeneca for me too . Ds had Pfizer ( he’s also had covid) and he’s been fine .
I don’t think I’m fully recovered from the Covid I had , still have a distorted sense of smell and dizzy spells so perhaps it’s not helped my resilience to being vaccinated. The nurse said that it was recommended to wait 4 weeks from having had Covid before vaccination but my neighbour ( also a nurse ) said she had been advised 90 days .
I’m glad to have received it but I’m honestly shocked at how ill it has made me feel .

The Covid symptom tracking app has been collecting data on vaccinations. Their data confirms that people who have had Covid previously are more likely to have side effects to the vaccine. It didn’t seem to make a difference how long ago, either - which if you think about it is good news for immunity.

Feeling much better today , seems to have lasted less than 48 hours . Hope everyone else is better too 🙂
