All group 6 should be able to book online within the next 48 hrs

Good news! I got so frustrated that my group 6 husband is still not able to book vaccination online that I called the 119 number listed on the website. I was told that ALL of group 6 will be uploaded to the online booking system within the next 48 hours :). So not long then! Bottom line, if you are group 6 and cannot book online by Monday, you shoud contact 119 and/or your GP as it means you are not properly flagged on the system.

It might be that if you’ve already booked, it won’t allow you to book again.

I think when people refer to hubs, they mean GP hubs....localised centres, but not based in GP surgeries, but places like community centres, Church halls etc. They are often organised for several surgeries in a PCN? The mass centres are not local hubs (although for surgeries very near to them, they might also become a GP hub)

It’s all a bit confusing isn’t it and I can see why some people have no idea how to book or if they are anywhere near eligible yet.

Lots of reports now if 56+ booking in national system though which is good.

@jugglingjelly my DH is group 6 and just booked online no problem. We were beginning to think maybe he'd been missed off the list as hadn't heard anything from the GP. Glad I found this thread!

@jugglingjelly it's down to whether your central NHS record has you flagged as group 6/clinically vulnerable or not.

Speak to 119 to make an appointment, they will try and book you in but if your record isn't flagged then they can't. At which point you need to speak to the GP surgery and ask why your record isn't flagged?

I'm flagged as group 6 on GP records, but showing as 'ineligible' when I try and book online via the national NHS website. 119 couldn't help - they say they only access the same booking system that we do, and had literally no more info. Seems like not all group 6 added yet then, unless anyone has inside info?? Are we being added in dribs & drabs or should I be on the system by now? Is anyone else in group 6 and still unable to book online via the NHS link?

@iammedusa I am in a similar position. Coded correctly on my GP’s records but not able to use the central online booking system.

Received a booking text today but no appointments are available at any of the three locations offered 😭. Plus for me the central locations are easier to get to!

Oh well, I guess I will just keep trying.

Feel sorry for the 119 operators, even though we are being told to contact them if we are eligible but can’t book they can’t actually do anything differently.

Hmm I couldn't book on line but could via 119 but I had received a text invite though?
