Recc for disposable masks for DD

DD was using cloth masks for transitions between classes but she is in a panic about wearing them all day. I thought disposable ones would be more comfortable. I’m worried what I order will be too big though!
She’s 12 and 5 foot if that helps. Something through Amazon would be useful too.

Literally any of them will be fine. If she is 5 foot then she is the height of a lot of adults. If they are a bit loose she can put a twist in the earloops.

Okay thanks. It just that buying a 100 seems best value so don’t want them to be wrong!

Can you buy a couple of reusable ones and wash them in the evening, disposable is so bad for the environment

I find it much easier to breathe in disposable although try to use cloth. For younger kids, I would assume disposable ones are better. I got some from Superdrug for kids but mine is very young at 4 and only for emergencies

We’re in the same situation as you OP. I much prefer the thought of the reusable ones but we feel that we can breathe better, and our glasses don’t steam up as much if we use the disposable ones. I only need to wear one for shopping etc so I make do with reusable, but for DC at school from next week they have got disposable ones from Amazon. I don’t think the size really matters, because you can mould them to fit your face at the top and you can always put an extra loop in the elastic if it needs to be tighter around the ears

Boots sell children’s masks that are disposable

I agree that if using for long periods disposable are more comfortable. If too big the ear thread can be twisted.

We have lots of washable ones but she’s distressed at the idea of wearing them all day. She wears glasses too so nice to hear it helps with them steaming up (part of her worry). I’ve ordered some from Amazon anyway thanks!

The reason disposable ones are easier to breathe through is because they are usually quite a loose fit on most people, so lots of air escapes through the sides. Makes it all a bit pointless wearing one in my view. You can tighten the ear loops by tying a knot in them, and there is a way of folding them first to make them fit properly. I saw it online somewhere....
