Given up cooking - anyone else?!

I usually cook really yummy, healthy, home made food - bean chilli, stews, curries, dahls, pasta, spaghetti etc etc. BUT since school closures I’m just living off food I can bung in the oven as have no energy / motivation to cook in the day. My kids are having the best time ever! Just have parent guilt that they’re not getting their 5 a day when the usually have about 8. Argh!!

Anyone else finding this?

Yep. Same.

I imagine most parents with children at home all the time are feeling the strain. A couple of weeks of unhealthy eating is not the end of the world.

No

Yup same. Ordered a load of instant kids meals from Little Dish for this week too as just can not face prepping any more food! Which isn't like me at all. They are getting lots of fruit.
My plan is to try and get back to normal from next week when I'm not having to prepare every meal in the house.
I think corners have to be cut somewhere to save our sanities! This has been an extreme situation we've lived in for almost a year.

Thankfully mine are getting loads of fruit too. Looking forward to my food bill going down when they start school!

My plan is to get back to normal next week too. Will start doing a food plan again. We’re just all over the shop at the moment!

I think I always forget what an extreme situation it’s been and put loads of pressure on myself. My kids are gonna remember this as the time they lived off pizza, chips etc and got loads of screen time. I think they think it’s like a 3 month long Christmas holiday for them, where all rules go out the window!
