Palpitations after Astra Zeneca!

Hi all, had AZ at the weekend. Have felt fine, totally my normal self!

But today I’ve had terrible palpitations. I do suffer from them so not a new issue for me at all but they’ve been happening all bleddy day.

Could it be related to AZ? I stupidly left my information leaflet they give me on the car which dp has took to work so can’t have a read to see if it’s normal not.

Anyone else had this?

I had AZ yesterday, just looked at the leaflet, there's no mention of palpitations. It says report any side effects not mentioned via your dr, or directly via the coronavirus yellow card reporting site.

I have palpitations sometimes ( a glass of wine starts it off!) but I had the AZ one a couple of weeks ago and no problem at all.

The only side effects were slight headache and tired for 24 hours.

Anxiety can start them so if you’re worried about the vaccine it might be that.

I’m on the POTs support group on Facebook and it’s very common.
I had a little more flutters and higher heart rate for a few days.

Hopefully will calm down soon!

Thank you all. Palpitations don’t overly concern me as I am used to them they just seem very frequent today but yeah could be anxiety! I just felt bit spaced out today too! 😩

I have heart failure and get regular palpitations. Mine were stronger and more frequent after the AZ. I reported it and checked with my HF nurse and they said to keep an eye on it and get back in touch if it didn't go within a few days.

It definitely went back to my normal level after three days.

people often get palpitations when they initially test positive with covid so it night be worth getting a test?
