Carer on GP records

DH is registered as a carer at his GP. He does not get the allowance as his dad gets it.
Does the NHS register where you book know this, or is he waiting for an invite from the GP ?

check if he can book on the link below. If not, double check with the GP. I know a few people who assumed they were coded as a carer but weren't. But if you are, the link should let it boil you.

I was down as a carer but not coded as a carer, luckily I had CA so didn’t have to correspond with the GPs practice anymore. Have you tried 119?

He won’t ring 119 as he doesn’t like to make a fuss.
I was just wondering if being down as a carer at the GP let you book on the NHS site. Obviously not.

happened to a friend of mine. He needs to speak to the GP to double check they have the correct code on.

If you get Carer's Allowance - can book on national NHS site.

If you don't get Carer's Allowance but are registered as a Carer with GP - you will need to wait for invite from GP.

If you get Carer's Allowance AND are registered as a Carer with GP - can book via either route.

You can only book on that site if you get or have an underlying entitlement to carers allowance. Otherwise it is through GPs who have you coded as group 6 and will send you a link when vaccines are available to book a vaccination. I don't know how it works everywhere but locally it is a link to the local GP vaccinating centre for a particular day and not that site and the mass vaccination centres.
