Received a letter - CEV

Hi all, received a letter from the NHS yesterday saying that due to some recent research, they now consider me clinically extremely vulnerable and I can book my vaccine and should shield until 31 March.

This has rattled me a little bit, even though I was in the vulnerable category before so I was being careful etc.

Has anyone else gotten such a letter? It would make me feel better if loads of people had them!

Thanks all.

Yes i have one, its due to some changes Boris made in an announcement over a week ago now. There must be 1000'ds affected. So dont worry, so not alone

1.7 million people received those letters.

they did some research and if you have a couple of conditions/illnesses/overweight/really shit area, they combine the effects of these to see if you are more than just cv...

@BlackeyedSusan It’s not “really shit areas” - you’d be surprised. My neighbourhood is not considered deprived by any stretch of the imagination but according to the algorithm, it is. I think it’s because it’s in the middle of a city and most are terraced.

I heard they were using the deprivation index. other mothers' complaining about the shit area around the bussed into secondary school...which is a better area than ours on the list.
