Confused about Pfizer & Kent variant

I’ve been reading about this and all the language suggests we don’t actually know how well Pfizer performs against the Kent variant. Lots of “should protect” and “likely to protect” but nothing definitive. This has really thrown me and confused me, because I thought the Kent variant was dominant here now?

We seem to know that AstraZeneca offers the same protection against the Kent variant. Do we know this about Pfizer too?

Both offer good protection from the Kent variant (B.1.1.7), which, yes is the dominant variant in the UK now (around 85 to 90% of all cases).

It's also the dominant variant in Israel, who are only using Pfizer (and are producing lots of data) and Pfizer has been very effective there.

Perfect, thanks. It’s been a long day!
