Area stuck on group 5, feeling left behind

We seem stuck in our town! None of the group 6 vulnerable have been vaccinated, as all vaccines are done through small gp hubs. An awful lot of group 5 have insisted the local gp does their jab (they won’t travel to the big hub 20 miles away). Anyone else feeling left behind and scared about all this “opening up” while so many vulnerable are still at full risk?

Tbh I still think it's pretty amazing how fast we're going. I do think it's unreasonable to feel 'left behind' at this early stage. Group 6 is likely to be done by end of March, that's only a few more weeks. Some will get done this week, some in the final week, it can't be helped. It's still utterly fantastic when you think where we were six weeks ago.

I do know a few group 5 people here who are absolutely capable of travelling to a mass hub, but are hanging on for a local GP hub appointment.
It does seem to be holding up the process and surely there must be some method of joining up the systems so group 6 can go to a mass Vax place and group 5 can be "persuaded" not to wait.

Have you tried the nhs booking line or 911 to see if you can get an appointment at a vaccination hub?

I'm group 6 too btw, so please don't think I'm commenting from an uniformed perspective upthread.
