Go for a test?

Yester lady woke up feeling drained and just a bit off, by last night was aching, headache, funny taste in mouth (can still taste though) slept for 12 hours, slight sore throat.

Just woke up feeling not quite as shocking as I did last night but not myself. Wondering if I need to go for a test although I don't have cough etc. DH hasn't left for work yet as he's worried if I have it and he does into busy office!

Would you get tested?

Given the funny taste, I'd definitely get tested yes.

Test. Aching body and headache were my first symptoms.

MindyStClaire · 23/02/2021 08:07

Yes.

We've needed 8 tests in this house between fevers with mastitis, toddler nursery germs etc. We've come to the conclusion that once there's the slightest hint of any of the symptoms, it's best to get tested and be able to carry on life guilt free (results of our last few have been back in around 12 hours), rather than agonising.

Hi ladies,

Test booked for 10am! DH staying home until I get the result. Just can't risk it as would feel awful if it was positive and we spread it! Fingers crossed for a negative result 10 days in the house with DH and DC might just send me insane

Given the change in taste, then yes get tested. Chances are it'll be negative but you won't forgive yourself if you both go out and risk passing it on.

I think results are much quicker now. If you get an appointment this morning, hopefully result will be back tomorrow morning.

Yes, sore throat was my main symptom. Fever barely lasted a few hours.

I had my test at 10am today as well! The only reason I booked it was because my LG has a fever so booked us both for one l, since having it I am starting to feel crappy, scratchy throat and really tired. But then I am 32 weeks pregnant and spent most of last night awake checking LG temp every hour or so! Good luck for your results, I'm nervous! Hope the results don't take too long to come.
