What next after the vaccine?

With all of the reports saying we need to learn to live with the virus as it becomes endemic I find myself wondering that we're just at the start of our journey. For example in 3 years time:

  • will everyone need to test and isolate when they feel unwell? Will contacts still need to isolate?
  • will everyone take the vaccine every year or just the vulnerable like with the flu?
  • how will countries like Australia and New Zealand cope once they start opening back up and letting tourists in? Their strategy of quarantine hotels won't be sustainable in 5+ years time

Has anyone come across any articles; though pieces of how the world might work once we've got over this hump?

I'm wondering if our attitude to illness and work will change, we are very much in a culture of unless a limb is hanging off you brave it into work. Will employers now be more understanding if people are sick.
