Pfizer Vs Oxford Astra Zeneca

Just wondering what the latest is on how effective each of these are?
And the side effects of each. I know 2 people who have had aching body and high temperature and 1 had the Pfizer and the other the Oxford.

Both are being offered locally, Pfizer at the hospital and Astra Zeneca at the GP.

I had Oxford, rest of my family who have had it had Pfizer. All had sore arms but nothing else

As I read somewhere and completely you don’t go in to your flu vaccination and ask what brand it is and say I’m not having it if it’s a certain one. Don’t know why this is being classed as different by some areas. Both are just as good for the purposes we need it for

Doesn't matter, whatever keeps me out of hospital. I was told I was having Pfizer and I felt like shit the day after but no issues otherwise. My main side effect is walking on a cloud of relief and less shower crying Grin.

My staff have had a mixture of both. I had Pfizer. First Jag felt a bit tired 2nd high temp and washed out and nearly all my staff with Pfizer were worse with 2nd one. AZ quite a few fevers noone had 2nd yet.

I had Pfizer, no side effects for me but I know others who have had Pfizer and felt unwell, same for the Oxford.
I don't think it matters which one you get as long as you get it

I had Pfizer and only had a sore arm. Expecting more for the 2nd jab!

Everyone that I've spoken to that's had the AZ have felt rough the next day.

I had the AZ and was fine the next day. DH had the same one and was very tired and feeling cold the following day.

Both in law siblings had the Pfizer and both had a really sore arm for around 24 hours.

None of us had second jab as yet.

Thanks for the replies. So not much difference in the side effects of them both!
