Not a massive issue but something that’s bothering me as it seems so strange. I have a relative who has had to travel back to the U.K. for an emergency. They came from the EU, not red list. They are isolating at a home address. They had to pay about 200 euros for a ‘U.K. government backed’ test before travel on the Eurostar, despite having completed a government covid test the day before (in their ‘home’ country) thinking that this would be sufficient. Anyway, they need to come so they pay the 200 euros. The money comes out of their account and the payment says it’s to ‘Chelsea FC travel company’. WTF? I said it sounds like a scam but the code they were given worked and got them through border so it seems legit. But WHY WHY WHY would a football club be providing government covid backed testing schemes ? There is a company called Chelsea medical I can see that is a government registered provider of test to release but if it was them why wouldn’t the payment say ‘Chelsea medical’. It something I just can’t work out as it seems so bizarre. Any one have any ideas?
