Goodness knows

Were lockdowns ever meant to be a long term measure? Surely it’s a very blunt tool in an emergency situation. It can’t be a long term strategy so the government need a new strategy if for some reason vaccinations don’t work.

I feel optimistic though that they will.

I hope so but it's been said it can't be guaranteed.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 19/02/2021 14:46

I think so

Depends how long the vaccine coverage lasts, maybe an autumn/winter one if boosters aren’t ready. Unless a new variant hits that the vaccine does cover.

Can't answer the question.
No one agrees on what is a 'Lockdown'. Germany calls 'Lockdown' what we called Tier 2 . France had lockdowns rules that allowed indoor visits with all your friends. California had Lockdowns that allowed all sorts of things not allowed in Britain.

November 2020 Lockdown let my swim pool & schools stay open.

I hope so but I agree it depends on what you class as a lockdown. When we were in Tier 4, it felt like being in a lockdown.
