Because if you can't control something and you can't know what will happen you might as well bet....

Who would take even odds on our getting down to 1000 cases a day by April 1?

If it carries on going down at the same rate it should take 8-9 weeks.. but without knowing how the vaccine will effect transmission or how much schools will have an impact it maybe could be a couple of weeks either side.

Meant to add there have been reports that the infection rate is starting to plateau.
