Do you know if we are in group 6?

Have you had your vaccine yet?

There is a letter on the me association website to send to your gp to request to be placed in group 6. My sister has ME and has just sent hers so fingers crossed.

I have ME. I don't think its ever really considered by my dr tbh. I am group 6 but due to other factors.

Nope we are not on there I have CFS and asthma. You can request but I can’t believe GPs have time to look at these requests and probably binned by the receptionists

Anecdotally I've heard quite a few stories of people being placed in category 6 so it's potentially worth trying. Probably depends on your relationship with your GP too. You never know.

This. Action for ME have one too. There's been various levels of success from different GPs. I've sent ours ththe MEA letter for DD who has had ME for 5 years. She caught Covid last year and has been bedbound for 10 months. If this isn't a case for vaccination against further possible infection and further deterioration, I don't know what is! Especially as DH and DS are theoretically going back to school in a few weeks.

We do seem to be a forgotten cohort but it’s always the same tune with this disease.

Hi. I have it and requested to be in group 6 because of the ME association letter. I did then get a call for a vaccine. I'm not sure if it was a coincidence though, because after that, my doc replied, saying I should be seen soon (suggesting he didn't know I was already booked in.) I do have other underlying conditions, but none of which put me in group 6 either I don't think. Anyway, I had my vaccine on Mon x

Hopefully the focus on ‘long covid’ will at least remind people that ME and CF sufferers have been overlooked for years. I have friends with these conditions who have had to battle to even get their issues recognised. I send good wishes to everyone struggling with this.
