Asthma flare up or covid

Just wanting to put my worries down. My breathing has been very bad lately. Not being able to catch breathe, heavy chest coughing and wheezing etc.
I met the DR in the car park yesterday, most strange, where she prescribed me steroids and advised to get covid test. Which I did straight after.

And that's it really, I've hardly slept all night I'm hoping the covid result comes tomorrow I go from 90% thinking it's just my asthma to thinking my god it could be covid.

Ugh 🤦‍♀️ 😴

Hope you test comes back negative, but you’re doing the right thing in getting tested and isolating just in case.

Hope you're ok OP. The only symptom my BIL had was being breathlessness - he thought it was his asthma but LFT showed otherwise! Obviously doesn't mean you have it as no two cases are the same.

I hope you feel better soon, OP.

Are you affected by pollen at all? I remember the weather forecasters warning of a "pollen bomb" when the weather warmed up.

I've been the same. Tight chest, short of breath at times, a bit wheezy. I've no other symptoms bar a regular need to clear my throat (but not a cough or sore throat). I don't feel run down or anything, my chest is just bad.

I've been nowhere except social distanced walks outside since Christmas.

I think i've got an asthma flare up, whether it's the cold weather. Until recently I was only using my brown inhaler once a day as well.

Thanks for all the replies. So my test came back negative so must be just my asthma.
Interestingly yes I do suffer with pollen very bad in summer.

I thought maybe it was due to the cold snap we had too. Who knows I need to really get a asthma plan together inhalers I'm on don't do anything hopefully the steroids kick in soon
