So the current guidance is work from home - when do we think this will be lifted and workplaces can insist we go back?

This comes up all the time. Here is the weekend’s discussion on it. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4164409-So-when-do-you-think-wfh-if-you-can-will-end

I'm hoping we never return to full time in the office. For a lot of people, commuting is completely unnecessary.

The benefits of flexible working for employers and employees are clear so hopefully common sense will prevail.

The sooner the better. I'm sick of having everything in the living room, it no longer feels like home, more like living in the office. I'm leaving if it becomes permanent for even part of the time. I don't have the space and I can't make the space as we don't have the room and DH feels as though he can't sit in his own living room. I don't even feel grateful for having a job right now I'm that fed up.

I’m also hoping to never return to the office on a regular basis (would be happy to go in for essential meetings). Am saving so much time commuting and work more efficiently at home.

I would be happy to divide my time 2 days a week in, 3 days at home. Onboarding from home is a crap lonely process. Previous role was 3 weeks in the office, followed by 3 months at home and that was bad enough with customers screaming at me every day! I'm a people person. I miss the interaction. A balance would be amazing.

I'm much less efficient working from home. I seem to spend half my time waiting for things to save as it takes so long compared to in the office. I'm not convinced the customers are happy either - one has already complained as I refused to give them my mobile number.
