My dm is so negative.Talking about not bothering with the second jab and not even stepping off her drive for a short walk as it is boring.Ive cooked meals but I don't think they are to her standard so stopped bothering. My dh is not motivated so I suggest chores and DIY that we can do together or bits he can do alone easily as he isn't working until March. He is always cheered up afterwards by his sense of achievement.
My d's is lovely and I find myself jollying him along regarding being able to see friends after work and go out again.
Anyone else trying to keep others upbeat and motivated?

Yes and it can be draining. I am just getting on with it, trying to make best of everyday. I have stepped back from trying to jolly others along it's too wearing, l usually skip most of corona posts on here,. Just focus on you, that's my advice. My two teenagers are fine, just taking it in their stride, they are aware it's not a permanent situation. I help myself by listening to motivational and spiritual speakers. Does wonders for your mood. Take full responsibility for your own wellbeing.

I'm glad it is not just me.I limit dm as she always has to find something wrong! Taken me over 50 yrs to realise this.I do try to jolly my household as I live in a small house and don't like atmosphere. My dm was moaning Ruth Langford had a jab and she is only 61.I couldn't careless.Stick those vaccines in all and sundry I think it is great.Smile
