A hypothetical isolating question!

My DS dad loves with his parents. I don't come into contact with him other then when he collects/drops DS off at mine which is once a week. If he or a member of his house caught Covid, would I need to isolate?
I get that DS would, but seeing how I don't see him and when I do it's for a minute or two I feel like the answer should be no!

Ds would as a close contact. You would not. However, if ds then got symptoms, you would.

Thanks for replying! I thought that would be the case but then I was j sure as are we classed as some sort of bubble with DS being between houses?
