Hi,

I am just wondering who is remaining hopeful after the news hot off the press in regards to foreign travel this summer?

Have people been booking holidays for Summer 2021 or are people pushing their plans of a enjoying a lovely margarita on a hot beach somewhere until 2022?

Thanks! xo

Just had our Easter holiday (moved from last Easter) cancelled.

Still got our August holiday (also moved from last August) to Kos booked.

If that gets cancelled I'll just have a refund and refurb the lounge.

Didn't go away last year so we're desperate for a break.

“Labour is calling for clarity”

Only labour could ask for clarity 6 months ahead in a pandemic...

I mean the government aren’t great but labour are even more useless in opposition (which should be an easy job at the moment).

The government are damned if they do and damned if they don’t at the moment, and I’m not even a fan of theirs.

“some swell of opinion that would like to see a prediction”

Yes wouldn’t we all, but would we trust the predictions anyway based on the last year....!

Predicting next week or month may be safer to start with!

I agree with the poster who said it’s just too early for clarity. Things change weekly and we are 4 months away from summer at least.

They should not have really made a comment either way. Just said it’s too early to tell. We don’t need to be micro managed. We know to book holidays with cancellation policies.

THIS

They should be wiping the floor with them, instead they’re looking even worse as opposition. Makes me feel like the Nation has doomed itself with such lacklustre political choices.

The only clarity the government can offer is the clarification that nothing is clear so far in advance and that giving false hope leads to disappointment and ultimately public reluctance to follow guidelines.
