Thanks for posting. That's an interesting read and early signs seem positive. Especially as we have other drugs we know also help aid recovery.

PurplePi · 08/02/2021 20:43

That’s fantastic news. I hope these can be approved quickly

Buntysbosom · 08/02/2021 20:48

That’s so positive -thank you.

notevenat20 · 08/02/2021 20:51

The answer is we will have a clue in months not days. You really need to run a trial with hundreds or thousands of people and properly controlled. I hope it is a cure but currently it comes under the category of anecdote.

TheKeatingFive · 08/02/2021 20:53

It’s looking very promising, but only proper trials will tell.

I’m not a scientist, but I found the explanation about why it works convincing.

LizzieSiddal · 08/02/2021 20:57

How promising.

Aren’t scientists amazing.

DianaT1969 · 08/02/2021 20:58

Gosh, very exciting. It would change everything if there was a cure.

Bananacocks · 08/02/2021 20:59

Well that is exciting, obviously needs more trials but positive news. Thanks for sharing

ZigZaggyZoo · 08/02/2021 21:02

Israel are doing some fantastic work in this pandemic. Good on them. Let's hope this is just as good on a larger scale

PicsInRed · 08/02/2021 21:02

Marvellous news. Fingers crossed for it.

backaftera2yearbreak · 08/02/2021 21:06

Oh god, just what i needed to hear. A while away but potentially some great news!

Porcupineintherough · 08/02/2021 21:12

Fingers crossed. I'm glad research is still going in to treatment as well as vaccines.

jimmyhill · 08/02/2021 21:46

Israel are doing some fantastic work in this pandemic.

They're doing a great job for Israelis. Not doing such a great job for the people in territories they occupy.

notevenat20 · 09/02/2021 06:25

This just isn't true. They are vaccinating all Israelis be they Arab or Jewish. Hamas and the Palestinian authorities are responsible for their own healthcare, haven't asked for any help and wouldn't accept it if it was offered. They do in fact have their own vaccination plans unsurprisingly

notevenat20 · 09/02/2021 06:40

In fact everyone with Israeli residency including Palestinians in East Jerusalem.

Lots of discussion about this globally now

Amazing news. This really is the ticket out if so. Fingers crossed the trials continue to be successful

Fortyfifty · 09/02/2021 07:23

This is promising news to read this morning. We need treatments as well as vaccines.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 09/02/2021 07:25

Vaccines are great but I always thought a treatment would be better. Fantastic news

PracticingPerson · 09/02/2021 07:26

Vaccines are way better as far cheaper. Also mild covid has risks. Prevention always better than cure.

But a treatment would be brilliant for the cases where vaccine doesn't work/can't be had/etc.

Mummyoflittledragon · 09/02/2021 08:07

This is brilliant news. Let’s hope the trials continue to prove fruitful.

jimmyhill · 09/02/2021 10:57

Hamas and the Palestinian authorities are responsible for their own healthcare

International law says otherwise
