Has anyone booked anything? Uk or abroad?

Currently booking up UK holidays for may and most of august. Desperate for a break. Not going to attempt abroad.

Mindymomo · 06/02/2021 11:23

We’ve booked a week in July at a cottage. Looking at the cottage we booked last year, it’s £1,000 per week more expensive this year, so glad we’ve got something booked, as we won’t be paying stupid prices just to stay in a cottage, but would be happy doing days out with a long,
Lazy, nice pub lunch.

Summer, can’t wait, just saying it makes me optimistic for the future.

Awaiting a European trip, won't book until certain but browsing and largely making myself depressed

Crumpetycrump · 06/02/2021 11:51

Yes - hopefully 3 nights in Cornwall end of May, a yurt for a weekend in Dorset in June and 3 nights in Devon in July. Hopefully they will happen..... 🤞

Rockbird · 06/02/2021 11:54

A week in Cornwall at Easter changed from last year, and my finger is hovering over the website to book a ferry for the Isle of Wight in August. We go every summer and went last year too so I'm fairly sure that we'll be able to go.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 06/02/2021 12:11

Short break in UK in August booked

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 06/02/2021 12:32

UK holidays booked for March, May, September and December. I know the March one won't happen but it's fully refundable or the payment can be moved to one of the other holidays.

Angel2702 · 06/02/2021 13:08

Dorset booked last year for school holidays.

Lissy23 · 06/02/2021 13:21

UK breaks booked for Easter, June and August.

InterfectoremVulpes · 06/02/2021 13:23

We have an overseas break booked for Easter which was moved from last year but expect will be cancelled.

Will look to do a UK holiday for May half term and hopefully be able to book overseas in August. Otherwise will look to book UK again.

runwithme · 06/02/2021 13:27

Not yet, don't want to get our hopes up. Definitely UK if we do go anywhere but DC2 really wants to go to Disneyland at Christmas time so I'm pricing it up at the moment.

JuliesIpad · 06/02/2021 13:28

Three UK short breaks booked. Only 3/4 nights in case of crap weather.
No chance of going abroad and then having to spend 10 days in quarantine in a Travel lodge.

CoronaIsWatching · 06/02/2021 13:29

I'd love a week somewhere in the med in June but no not booked anything, I'd just end up worrying about it. I might book the week off work and go somewhere last minute if I'm able to. No where should be sold out in June.

starfish88 · 06/02/2021 13:30

I live abroad but have a holiday booked to visit family in the UK who we haven't seen for a long time. Totally movable though so if it doesn't happen in 2021 then I still have something to look forward to in 2022. But with the vaccination program going so well here and the UK I'm hopeful.

firstimemamma · 06/02/2021 13:37

Our wedding.

Torvi · 06/02/2021 13:39

Flights booked to The Canaries in August. My parents live there.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 06/02/2021 13:46

Booked 3 nights in London and if my Easter Butlins trip gets cancelled I'll move it to August.

IEat · 06/02/2021 13:51

Butlins at Easter changed from last year. Definitely won’t change again to next year though if covid means we can’t go

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 06/02/2021 14:01

No, not booking anything as don’t want the risk of travelling until it’s much safer to do so. It just helps variants move from area to area.

Will be avoiding large events or busy places if open too until the vaccine rollout is done for everyone that wants it.

40somethingJBJ · 06/02/2021 16:36

I’ve booked a couple of campsites for my touring caravan over summer, as I think they’ll be fairly safe. Not risking anything else yet. Would love to be able to fly out to Spain at some point to see my best friend, who moved over there last year, but I’m not holding my breath.

Theimpossiblegirl · 06/02/2021 16:42

We have a long haul trip carried over from last year, booked before anyone had even heard of Covid. It's at the end of July. We're not getting our hopes up but just going to wait and see.

DollyParton2 · 06/02/2021 16:45

UK booked Easter and Mallorca in August.

poppycat10 · 06/02/2021 18:22

No, don't want hassle of trying to get refunds if it has to be cancelled. I'll wait until I can be as sure as I can be that something can go ahead.

peak2021 · 06/02/2021 18:23

A hotel booked in mid-September that can be cancelled up to three days beforehand.
