For people who had symptom. I had a very restless night sleep where I felt warm and I could tell my heart rate was up (usually in 50s and now 80s despite just lying in bed). My chest feels tight and I'm needing to cough a bit to "scratch the itch" if that makes sense but choosing to cough, mostly dry. Just feel a bit bleugh. I've ordered a test of course, but just wondered if others had similar symptoms. Me and the kids are home all week except 20 mins picking up a click and collect shop so a bit dubious as it seems so unlikely I'd catch something, but with my heart rate that high I must be fighting something.

It's in the 90s now actually, absolutely not normal for me!

I ran fast heart rates at night too, OP, (up to 150/min) when I had Covid last April, along with sweating, altered taste sensation, fizzing muscle pains, severe burning pain in both lungs and difficulty breathing. I had to lie face down to breathe, and only got 2 hours sleep a night for a fortnight before being admitted to hospital.
I’m now ten months into long Covid, still breathless at 100 yards, and suffer regular recurrences of fatigue, cough and muscle aches. It’s a horrible illness that just never lets go of you.

I've got a burning chest although not too uncomfortable at this stage but I think subconsciously stopping me breathing as deeply, which I guess could be affecting heart rate too? I ended up going to a test centre today so I hope I get my result tomorrow. Thank you for replying, I'm sorry you are still suffering the affects.

Ive just sent for a test today. Chest is very tight and breathless. The skin on my back is burning like sunburn, to the point i put a tepid cloth on it and in 5 mins the cloth was warm ! Banging headache, knackered and just feeling crap. Ironically i got my vaccine invite today !!

user86386427 · 03/02/2021 19:12

@Redannie118 could it be a reaction to the vaccine?

@user86386427 no I just got the invite today to make an app. Not had it yet :)

Horrible rash in both armpits
Cold-like symptoms about 5 days later, when I took a test.
Smell/taste didn't disappear, but muted
Extremely tired and achy - slept 20 hours or more each day
I wasn't breathless, but my oxygen levels were a bit down.
Temperature all over the place - sometimes hot, then freezing.

Sore hand - but that was because my cat chewed it if I didn't wake up to feed her. Practicing for self-sufficiency.

Three weeks on - pretty much OK despite needing to sleep twice as much as normal. Still have a bit of a cough.

@Redannie118 sorry didn't read that properly, typical indeed! Hope your test comes through quickly!

I had it last month and I got a cough, muscle aches, sore throat and very bad nausea that lead to bad stomach cramps whenever I ate or drank cold drinks. My stomach could tolerate hot drinks and I lost so much weight! Unfortunately, all that weight is now returning and I’m getting stretch marks.

HotCupOfNo · 03/02/2021 20:01

Got tested this morning.

Sore throat, dry cough that hurts, body aches, yesterday I had a rash on my arms. I have moments where I feel so ok I think I've made it all up, then moments like now where I feel dreadful and like I can't warm up and everything hurts.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 03/02/2021 20:42

hope that you feel better soon @HotCupOfNo Flowers
sleep, big duvet.

My son (5) had a temp and cough that lasted less than 24 hours, my partner had a snotty nose and congested sinuses that lasted maybe two days at most.

I had/have the full whammy, lucky me!
Achey muscles (they were tender to the touch for a few days), no taste/smell, high temperature, bad tummy (this is TMI, I was pooing loads but the actual poo was normal consistency, where all this poo was coming from I have no idea), fatigue, cough, breathlessness when I do anything, no appetite. This one is diabetes specific, but I was going towards hypo a lot for four days so I did have to go to hospital for 12 hours of monitoring, until my bloods returned to normal I had to test every two hours, including at night.

I’m now on day 12, so out of isolation. I still have no taste/smell, fatigue, breathlessness and my bloods are still a bit ropey so I’m still testing more often including during the night. I’m a semi professional rugby player so I’m physically fit, I tried to go for a walk today and barely made it out of the building before I came home.

I’m CEV, so I’m not hugely surprised I was hit fairly hard, I can struggle with a cold so I wasn’t expecting covid to be mild if I caught it. I was meant to have my vaccine yesterday, so my timing of catching it was great.

Cowmilk · 03/02/2021 23:14

@SimonJT, I got lot of hypos to. I at first put a temporary basal rate on, but the realised I needed a lot less insulin early in the night and I am still on 40% less basal rate than before covid. I’m certain my weight loss is contributing to it, but not by this much.

It is nice seeing my body is not the only one going against the norm.

Hope everyone here stay safe and well.

user86386427 · 04/02/2021 12:10

My test has just come back negative, so goodness knows what I'm fighting or where it's come from but do feel better than yesterday.
