How long do unused tests last?

I ordered a test before Christmas as a close friend/colleague came down with Covid and I was due to visit my elderly parent. Christmas plans were cancelled before I did the test so as this meant I could isolate for 10 days I didn't bother doing it.
I kept the test but now have fatigue, a sore throat, and general aches. Do you think the test would be ok to use now?

Yep it will be absolutely fine.

There's nothing in it to expire surely? Or are you worried the code for it will not be accepted?

Yes I've done this before, I ordered a test and never used it and then I used it a few months later when I had symptoms just keep hold of the order ID and the code and you will be fine

Thanks for your replies. Yes, now I think about it properly, there is nothing to go off really. I think in my head I was wondering if the liquid could expire somehow.

There is an expiry date on the kit (or used to be - it was about a 6 month window on the last home tests we had back in October).
