Anyone else had this?

Waiting on test results - only symptom is "change of taste", which is pretty much just
a metallic taste in the back left hand side of my mouth. Pre-covid i would have assumed it was dental and gone for a check up, but my husband is a teacher and my baby is at nursery, so I've gone for a test.

Has anyone else had a unilateral "funny taste" in their mouth and had it be Covid?

Are you all self isolating at home since your symptoms started?

It’s possible you have covid as changes to taste / smell are one of the three symptoms to prompt testing.

Metallic taste could be other things too, for eg Pregnancy?!

No possibility you’re pregnant Grin?

DS is nearly 16 and he has covid at the moment. His only symptoms are a funny feeling in his nose and an odd taste/smell. No temperature, no cough and no feeling unwell.

Absolutely no chance! Anyway, test came back negative and this morning i woke up with a stinking cold. So that's that mystery solved.
