Sore throat only?

Has anyone had just a sore throat and fatigue and tested positive?

I'm nervous to order a test with just these symptoms (technically I'm not eligible) but I have had a test and trace notification and I know sore throat more common with new strain.

Don't all jump on me! I genuinely have no idea if I should or shouldn't. Thanks so much.

DS and I had a runny nose and sore throat, and I was really fatigued, over Xmas and didn’t get tested as we assumed it was just a cold. Luckily we basically self isolated anyway as it was the Xmas holidays and we didn’t see anyone on Xmas day, but I feel quite guilty now that it’s been publicised these can be symptoms of the new variant. Neither of us had a cough or fever though. It was just like a pretty mild cold - so I hope that’s all it was.

I had a sore throat- called the doctor and got myself some antibiotics. They didn't say I need a test unless I had other symptoms. My sore throat started and came and went for about a week. I looked at my tonsils and saw white spots so I called the doctor as I know it was likely to be bacterial tonsillitis. I think that was it and I never got a test. It improved very quickly after the antibiotics and I never got a test. Not everything is Covid at all ! To be on the safe side, a test won't hurt but I didn't get one. The doctor told me I didn't need it unless I had other symptoms.

My test result has come back positive with a sore throat, muscle ache and fatigue, fever has now developed. Only took 18 hours for test results to come through. So glad that I tested but the criteria does need to change.

I was fine after 14 days. After the cold symptoms, I did have some of the GI symptoms. I felt really nauseous for a couple of days, then better but still sort og dizzy for about a week. No cough or fever at any point.
