Will all school years return on March 8th?

I heard on Radio 4 today that this might be the case.

Our house is so noisy, crowded and cramped and it's hard to catch the what's being said properly.

Has anyone else read this or heard this?

I had thought it was more likely to be staggered. But what I was hearing was the Boris himself wanted all years to go back at the same time.

No. And also no, no one is definitely going back on the 8th March. The Only definite is that no one is going back before the 8th March

Oh. OK. I don't know who was speaking or when it was said.

Expected to read it in the news online later, but it's nowhere to be seen at the moment.

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

I wouldn’t bank on any of them going back then! It’s just a carrot to keep us going...

Wait until the 15th Feb to see if successfully vaccinate the first 4 groups. I think we'll hear details between then and the week of 22Feb when they make their roadmap for reopening public.

Nobody knows and schools have not been given any return date as yet.

The announcement that the 8th was the earliest return date was on Wednesday I think. So won't be in current news.
It might well not be the 8th so don't plan for it.

@Dustyboots - I heard the same item on radio 4 and they did indeed report that BJ strong preference is for all years ( and all areas) in primary at least to go back at the same time ( they were also reporting he’d overruled GW who wanted a return after half term).

It wasn’t a definite though - just reporters reporting speculation ( likely on the back of an off the record briefing to make BJ look good). But you didn’t imagine it!
