They say not to test again for 90 days.

I didn't really have a cough with the Covid, main symptoms headache, nausea and tiredness, just a very slight tickly cough which has never really gone away.

I woke up with a bit of tickle this morning which has got progressively worse until now, it's a really quite annoying cough.

But it can't be new Covid, maybe a lingering cough, so I carry on as usual? Or I have to isolate despite not being able to test to confirm one way or the other?

You need to isolate, and so do your whole household. There’s nothing to say it isn’t covid again.

A tenant in a property I manage tested positive in November and again January (had vaccine just before 2nd positive, she says the tests were performed more than once by her GP)

Can you get a lateral Flow test? It's the PCR that can pick up remnants if the virus for 90 days. So danger is you get a false positive. But then isolating your entire family for 10 days you might as well risk it and hope it shows as a negative. Not everyone tests positive for 90 days.

I was told by Test and Trace on the phone that the cough might well linger (positive test January 4th) and I didn't have to isolate after my 10 days if that was the only symptom I had.

You are also told not to take a lateral flow test for 90 days after testing positive actually. We have weekly lateral flow testing at my work but I'm exempt for now because I tested positive on 1st December. My only symptoms were being very achy and tired.

Op said she didn’t really have a cough with covid so this is a new cough and needs to isolate.
