Ex not wearing a mask

I may sound bitter and I understand if I come across as it but I’m very concerned. Kids 5&6 see ex once a week supervised contact and it was suspended for a while but has restarted now but I was assured that all adults would be required to wear ppe including a face covering. Ex did not have one on I know personally he’s not exempt and he has been at house party’s and mixing with others. I have a serious health issue with my lungs and have did all I can to protect my kids and myself from Covid. The person supervising contact took our temperature before going in and had ppe on. I want to contact my solicitor and request that from now on ppe must be worn and if ex claims he’s exempt then surly a visor will be ok. I’m worried I can come across as hostile or that I want to cause problems with contact by doing this but I’m honestly worried now that we are out at risk or that if it continues we will get sick.

A visor won't do anything. How do u know 100 percent he's not exempt?
I'm. Exempt and even my closest friends wouldn't know that I was.

You are clinically vulnerable and have a right to be protected. I would inform the relevant supervisors that until he wears a mask, the children won't be going.

I was in a relationship with him for 4 years I know he has zero health issues and if he did have any surly he shouldn’t be at house parties or smoking bongs like he dose.

But surely a visor will offer some form of protection

I would put it in writing that until he wears a mask you cant attend. I'd also quote human rights/equalities legislation. You cannot be forced to endanger your own life to facilitate contact.

A visor protects the wearer from fluids sprayed at their face. It doesn’t protect either the wearer nor others from breathing in each other’s breath and therefore has no value in this particular situation.

Thank you il be including this in my email to my solicitor. It’s one hour a week if he really wants to see the kids no reason he can’t wear a mask

Have you checked if you are now eligible for the vaccine? I'm in the ECV group and I had mine today via the NHS link.

He could wear a visor, but as said they don't provide much protection. I don't think children should be having contact with a parent wearing full ppe, unless it's the child who's vulnerable. It's such a barrier.

I’m waiting to hear about the vaccine. I don’t expect him to wears full ppe but a mask and gloves should be ok. If he was really exempt then attending house parties isn’t the best way to go. My kids both see me in ppe and are ok with it they both understand that with Covid going on people need to be careful and that a mask is important. It was the kids said to me he should be wearing one. I’m now sat in a panic in case something has been passed into my house. I had a case of pneumonia a few years ago and it almost cost me my life so I have a massive fear about Covid. All I’m asking is a man who can wear a mask wear one for a hour really
