When does my 10 days start?

Morning!!

We've received our first dreaded call from nursery that DD2 has been in to contact with a positive case.

She was in nursery on Monday (she does Monday and Thursday), and the other child tested positive on Wednesday.

Is day 0 Monday? Or is day 0 Wednesday?

Nursery have said day 0 is Wednesday as that's when she had the positive test, but the last time she was in contact with person was Monday.

T&T website state it's from the say you were in contact, but nursery are saying from day of test.

I know it's just 2 days additional, but if we don't have to do the extra, I would rather we didn't.

It's from the date of contact as you can be contagious for 48 hours before symptoms start.

For your DD it will be Monday as she wasn’t in nursery on weds. Maybe the child was in nursery on weds am and some children had contact that day?

Thank you for your replies! Nursery have called again as said that as my DD was the only one who did the Monday only, her day 0 is Monday too. Thanks everyone.
