Called for flu jab

Nopreservatives · 28/01/2021 16:35

I had hoped to have it at the beginning of this flu season as 50+ but that only came in fairly recently and it wasn't available to have privately here until recently also.

GP is now offering it to me but here is also the possibility that I will have an opportunity to have the Covid vaccination fairly soon becuase of my job.

1- would you bother having the flu jab so late in the season?
2- if I have it and get called for a Covid vaccination soon after, will I still be able to have the Covid one?

Yes, I’d have it and you can still have covid.

*I mean you can still have the covid vaccination.

There has to be ‘i think’ 7 clear days between both jabs

If your COVID vaccine is imminent, I would wait

I think it's 7 too.

We had a call to invite a family member for their Covid jab and we were asked if they had had any vaccinations in the last 7 days. So I would assume, as other posters have said, you only need 7 days between them.

MrsHamlet · 28/01/2021 22:09

I checked. I wasn't allowed anything 10 days either side. But I think that was belt and braces

I was in exactly same situation as OP. I decided to get the flu jab. Had the covid one yesterday, just 10 days later. Its recommended to leave 7 days between them so I was lucky.
