To find the antisemitism tiring

I keep on hearing people near where I live complaining that Israel is not vaccinating the Palestinians. It just sounds antisemitic to me.

All Arab Israelis are being vaccinated. Palestinians living in East Jerusalem are also being vaccinated by the Israelis. Those who live in West Bank and Gaza don't live in Israel and are under a different health authority. Those authorities have not asked Israel for any help. There is a question about those who travel to work in Israel from the West Bank and everyone can argue about international politics. But why is this the main topic of conversation? I don't hear anyone talking about problems of vaccinations in other countries. It makes me sad.

I see your point of view and am so sorry that happened to your father. I just don't see how you can forcibly vaccinate a foreign country's population where the foreign govt hates you.

I think it is based on anti-semitism as this is happening in many countries, politics does affect vaccine role out.
India has not offered vaccines to Pakistan for instance, whereas it has given vaccines to Sri Lanka. Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.

Israel has a hugely successful vaccine program, seems to be that this is in part due to the (huge) military & history of National Service - lots to be involved with the logistics.

How many ordinary Palestinians are going to welcome Israeli military supply of vaccines? What kind of target would that make vaccination centres?

I don’t think either side of this comes out well, and I don’t believe that my opinion makes me racist.

I’ve not had, or heard, the type of conversation OP has (I’ve not been out much!).
