Question for GP surgery office staff

I had my first Covid jab as a left over at a hub.
My jab was put on EMIS.
Will I get an appointment from my GP for my second vaccine, or do I have to get a left over at a hub again ? Thanks.

You should get an appt from the Gp (although this might be on a last minute list in the first instance, with a booked appt if there aren’t enough last minute vaccines.)

Can I ask another question. This it 100% hypothetical by the way, just something I saw on Twitter.

Supposing you had a spur of the moment jab at a hub, then an appt comes through from your GP. If three weeks plus have gone by since the first one, could you take the Gp appt as the second jab or should you fess up to the mix up and that you've already had your first one?

You’d have to tell them when your first was and which vaccine you had, so the vaccinator knows that there has been enough time between and to make sure you get the right vaccine.
It’s up to them if they give it.
I know people that have had both.

For the Oxford it’s 28 days, for the Pfizer it’s 21 days between.

If you have a jab anywhere it gets recorded on a national system that all other sites use and which feeds into your GP record.

If you have a gp vaccine and wait 3 weeks to go to the mass site then after you show up, queue and wait around for the jab they will enter your details. It will then say you already had your first vaccine. That’s when you will need to do the walk of shame having wasted your time and their time.
