How long til my test comes back?

I've taken a test this afternoon (proper one, not lateral flow) as I am feeling rough and wanted to be on the safe side as I work out of the home.

Anyone know how long the tests are taking to get back?
I've taken tomorrow off, but my boss wants to know if I'll be in the rest of the week (assuming I'm negative).

I did one yesterday morning and got the results about 9pm on the same day.

Got ours back the following day

I had the last appointment of the day, 6.30pm.
Does it matter where in the country you are as to how quickly they are done?
I am in Kent.

I'm down south, not sure if that makes a difference

I've taken a few between me and the kids and it's usually been under 48 hours. I've had a couple where it's been less than 23 hours. Good luck

All of mine have been back inside 36 hours. Last few around 24. Based up north though.

I think it depends on where you are and how busy the test centres are. We got my DS back in 12 hours yesterday but it was a Sunday and we live in Northern Scotland!

I’m sw and had one Friday, still no result which is abit shocking!!

Last one back in sept took 35hrs.

DH DD and I all had the test at the same time, we were all in the car together. They came back all at different times between 1 and 3 days.

I'm South East, DH and I had a test at 5.30 and it was back about 1pm the next day. Dh was back at 10am.

Still no results here, now 5days on. Wondering if work have massively ducked up somewhere along the line...meant to be having another test at the end of the week but seems a bit pointless if we haven’t even had the results back from the first. I did check with management and we are meant to get results directly to us.

No idea if there’s any way of chasing result up as I haven’t got a record of the barcode, no idea if they can find your result with just your name?

I posted our kits at 1pm yesterday, but post collection was 4.45pm. I got 1 batch of results at 2pm today and 1 batch at 6pm today. So around 24 hours.

Got results at 6am this morning so a full 7 days since test was done, shocking!
