Is your school preschool open?

My DS 3.5 years is at home because the preschool he goes to his part of a primary school and it's now closed except for key worker kids. He misses it. He misses his friends. I appreciate our situation is no different than thousands of other kids stuck at home at the moment.... but I'm really pissed off that all his friends at private nurseries are still able to attend. He starts reception in September and I know he's only little but I feel like he's going to be disadvantaged. I know many parents with kids of different ages have this same feeling from other threads I've read. I guess I'm just curious how many publicly funded preschools are open to all right now? Is being open to all the norm or the exception?

Yes school nursery is fully open to all kids. The onsite playground that is run privately is fully open too.

Yes, I feel very let down. I mentioned how scared I was and how I found it all unfair on another thread and was shot down. I now have covid and a 93 year old vulnerable lady in the house (not to mention my own autoimmune disorder)

Nursery is open again this week here it's part of the school , my Dd usually does 5 mornings but can only offer 2 mornings at the minute! Won't lie though I'm over the moon for her that she is going back she's so fed up at home no matter what we do!

Sorry posted too soon - your school nursery is going against government guidelines and you should bring this up with them, and if they are not helpful contact the local authority.
