Asymptomatic or presymptomatic?

I came into contact with someone at work on Tuesday (our testing day at work) who tested positive. I tested negative, but to be on the safe side had another test Fri and got a positive result Sat morning.
I feel as though I’m coming down with a cold and have some diarrhoea.
So it’s day 5 since I had contact and day 2 since I tested positive.

Could the symptoms still develop?

Absolutely terrified as my son has LD and is in supported living. He will be devastated if I get ill.

Yes, quite possibly, but chances are it won't be that bad and you'll be over it in a week.

Bit confused about what you are asking. The feeling like you are coming down with a cold/diarrhoea are symptoms so you were pre symptomatic and now you have symptoms.

Suggest you start the count from the first day you had symptoms when you work out what day you're on. Yes more symptoms will almost certainly develop but that doesnt mean you'll be seriously ill.

Thank you.
I meant that they aren’t the main symptoms - no fever, cough or anosmia.

Ok so quite common for main symptoms to develop a bit later , say be days 5 and 10. But not everyone gets them, although I'd say most get at least one. And they're not necessarily that bad eg you might have terrible headaches and muscle pains but only a mild cough. It's very variable.
