I am sure I had Covid in April, long drawn out illness with various of the symptoms. Now I am suspicious that I have it again. Did a lateral flow test, negative.
I have asthma which resurfaced in April after 3 years of no problems. It was always a winter thing. I took steroids which I stopped when I was better and had no more symptoms.
This time it began with headache, then cough, now breathlessness. Im using my inhalers and trying not to panic. Like last time it’s mainly at night when I can't breathe properly.
I really want a blood test rather than this crappy lft. Can I pay for one? I can only find antibody tests and some are v expensive.
I will be on to GP tomorrow for what its worth, but the most I imagine happening is a new steroid prescription.
I’m trying to carry on as normal but finding eg. my daily exercise difficult at the moment. Don’t have the crippling fatigue this time just breathing is affected.
Any ideas or advice?

covid.joinzoe.com/
Use the Covid Symptom Study app. Opt in to the study.
Submit your symptoms. Keep doing so daily. It may send you an email giving you details of how to get a PCR test as part of the study.

Hi - I have just re-joined Zoe, thankyou. I was using it in the Spring, but wanted to forget all about it when I felt better.
I will order another test.
