Getting better from covid then getting worse

I had a positive covid test on boxing day. It was thankfully mild although I felt pretty fatigued for a week. I then had another 10 days or so of feeling completely back to normal.

In the last couple of days I have been feeling really fatigued again although no other symptoms other than a couple of mouth ulcers. Could this still be related to covid?

I am wondering if people that have had long covid have ever felt completely better before their symptoms restarted?

More likely to be another illness, covid has probably knocked your immune system. It’s not impossible, the long coviders will be along soon but I think it’d quite dangerous to label any illness after covid as long covid. We need to know the real facts around it so we know what we are dealing with.

I tested positive for covid in December, felt naff for a few days then fine. Last week I started with a huge fever, cough & really really unwell. I was convinced I’d caught it again or it had ‘come back’ but blood tests came back as positive for flu! Which I’ve somehow managed to catch in a lockdown. I don’t even go food shopping bar one trip I’ve made to a local mini co-op for formula. I was in there maybe 2 minutes. But I do have a DD at nursery. She hasn’t been ill at all though 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

On day 6 I felt great! This was back in March, and at the time, as not all my symptoms matched, I didnt think I had it. Got worse again on day 7. Felt a bit better on day 11, but after that it was groundhog day, monotinous fatigue amongst other things, until after 6 weeks, I realised I needed to rest completely. It was 3 months after that, before I started to feel I was coming out of the fatigue. Along the way I got diagnosed with post viral fatigue, and had various other health issues.

In answer to your question, it could be. In my opinion, if you are able, rest, rest and rest. And see what happens.
