I went shopping yesterday and had a few heavy bags to carry. As usual since Covid I struggled and felt a bit shaky alongside usual overwhelmed feelings due to Autism/EUPD. Anyway, I got as far as the bus stop to go home and my phone rang. It was the pharmacy to say they would charge me £10 a month to put my meds in blisterpacks and half the tablets they wouldn't put in atall etc and only if my GP would change how often I got the meds etc..i.e really stressful (struggling with meds not being put into blisterpack anymore)...anyway next thing I know I'm on the floor. A lady is asking if I'm ok, I tried to get up but lady tells me to stay lying down...she is calling an ambulance.
I get taken into the ambulance and told I am presenting as Covid + and asked if I've had a test recently - I said no as no symptoms. She says but you do have symptoms - I had no cough, no taste/smell issues and while my temp was probably a little elevated for me I had no high temp (36.8). All the rest of my symptoms are long covid. But I was made to feel I'd done something wrong. Anyway in hospital i was swabbed and Covid negative. Given oxygen for breathlessness, heart rate settled eventually. Discharged home and told to bed rest and not go out alone. I'm a single mum to 2 kids....Long Covid can just do one!
