Think my DD may have undiagnosed ASD. She has been struggling since lockdown 1. She didn’t bother taking her extra time in Dec mocks, rooms freezing cold, would have stay behind in her own time and she has absolutely had a belly full. She did appalling in mocks is sort of engaging with school work (but rarely gets dressed, rarely leaves her bedroom or the house). If we mention schoolwork we get one word answers, she storms off, swears, gets angry and or upset. I think the only fair and workable solutions is for them to reset year 10 next year with exams at easter (when hopefully she may have matured). But i know that won’t happen. I also know a lot of parents help out with school work (which would lead to cheating and inflated results if online assessments considered) whereas DD is completely averse to any help and advice whatsoever.

You may find it useful to know that it has been discussed on the education board if you look over there.

I was also coming to say it has been discussed on the secondary and higher education boards. But anyone affected please respond.
