Lateral flow tests with symptoms.

How accurate are lateral flow tests when you’re symptomatic? I suspect it’s my asthma more than anything due to lack of any other symptoms apart from a barking cough, a decline in my peakflow & wheezing. No fever, no lack of taste/smell, nothing. I feel absolutely fine.

The boyfriends does lateral flow tests twice a week & has been negative every single time & I haven’t been anywhere in weeks.

Not. Like your boyfriend, I do one twice weekly for work, and we're being told that, if symptomatic, we must self-isolate and get a PCR.

More accurate symptomatic than not I think. But you’d be better off getting a PCR test.

Not as sensitive as PCR
