When is it *likely* Scotland will lift lockdown rules?

I don't advocate this, I'm not desperate for it to end (I don't love it but I can bear it) but I live in an area that was in tier 1/2 when tiers were in place and I wondered when people think they'll relax some restrictions? Again, I'm not asking because I'm so fed up but I'm just wondering what others are thinking.

When infections and deaths fall substantially.

Who knows
Been in tier 3/4 for so long I forget what normal life is like.
Schools need to go back because if I hear dd mutter (this isn't a real school your not a real teacher) she's 5. I'll bloody scream

At least a fortnight after Boris does anything

They won't be relaxed until mid February at the absolute earliest: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9163819/Nicola-Sturgeon-EXTENDS-Scottish-lockdown-mid-February.html

If you look at the current cases per 100k then I don't think it will be any time soon. Edinburgh got down to around 70/100k and was still in level 3 before Christmas. Every local authority area apart from Orkney is currently higher than that and some of the areas which were in level 1/2 are not higher than central belt areas that were in 3. The highlands and Aberdeenshire have overtaken Edinburgh in terms of cases per 100k.

End of March with a return to school after the Easter hols.

Never. Nicola Sturgeon will likely introduce increasingly draconian rules and will keep the good people of Scotland isolated forever.

Or if not forever then for as long as her popularity continues to surge based on the level of freedom she removes from the good people of Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon will likely introduce increasingly draconian rules and will keep the good people of Scotland isolated forever.

Someone was saying on another thread that she announced today restrictions would carry on 'indefinitely' and 'for the foreseeable future'. Shock

cocopops · 19/01/2021 22:21

When she gets her independence vote 😏

WouldBeGood · 19/01/2021 22:23

Never at this rate.

It’s getting beyond a joke now.

WouldBeGood · 19/01/2021 22:24

We’ve been in lockdown in my area for pretty much a year with a couple of months less.

Enough is enough.
