If you could have back 1 thing from pre-covid restrictions... what would it be?

OP posts:
doireallyneedaname · 18/01/2021 15:25

I can’t pick one thing really. But not living with the fear of getting Covid, I suppose.

IcedPurple · 18/01/2021 15:25

Everything!

But to answer your question, if I could only choose one thing, it would be the thing probably least likely to return to normal for some time. Travel.

Calmandmeasured1 · 18/01/2021 15:26

Just to meet up with my family.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 18/01/2021 15:26

Seeing my family and friends indoors and not at a distance.

Bilingualspingual · 18/01/2021 15:28

Being able to go back to my theatre job. Just reading another thread about how many weeks til payday made me 😫

Living.

bastedyoungturkey · 18/01/2021 15:36

I can’t even remember, it seems like this is all normal now.

Soft play for my child
Dinner dates with friends for me

SnuggyBuggy · 18/01/2021 15:38

Being able to meet family and friends indoors instead of a cold muddy park.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/01/2021 15:40

School.

Or peace and quiet.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 18/01/2021 15:41

Playing music with lots of other people, in a pub.

ifonly4 · 18/01/2021 15:44

Being able to relax without having to try and avoid people constantly.

If we're talking about one of the restrictions, then I guess the first thing I'd love to do in the spring/summer is walk up to our local pub and have a meal.

user1471543094 · 18/01/2021 15:44

Definitely schools!

And anything kids related - soft play places, birthday parties, my youngest would have been able for summer scheme last year and I was gutted that he missed out as he was always so envious of his siblings going!
He has a March birthday and is already upset that he will (likely) have another lockdown birthday.

Had a half notion there about booking a day off work next month but sure what is the point?

CeeJay81 · 18/01/2021 15:47

Being able to meet up with a friend, in Wales we aren't even allowed a walk outdoors with another person. Also being able to see my family, as none are local.

wishihadagoodone · 18/01/2021 15:50

Cinema trips.
Quiet pints to catch up with friends.
Grabbing a bite to eat when out.
Making plans.
Soft play dates for the kids.
Meeting friends for a coffee.
Going to the beach for a walk and some chips.

This week has just been tough.

plg21 · 18/01/2021 15:50

Cheating a bit with three. Socialising with friends and family, school sports fixtures and holidays.

IrishMamaMia · 18/01/2021 15:51

The hustle and bustle of daily life. Morning and evening sounds in the city. Just life..

ComDummings · 18/01/2021 15:52

Just being able to go wherever whenever. Fancy going on a road trip? Yep let’s just get in the car and go. Oh and schools. My kids are suffering without school. The socialisation. Also not being worried your neighbours will report you for as little as farting in the park.

Iheardit · 18/01/2021 15:54

Family, for my son though I would say school/his friends

Houseofflu · 18/01/2021 15:55
