@CountessFrog I can’t honestly understand why we still think they work, given the figures.

I can’t honestly understand why the WHO, and the rest of the world, all seem to think masks do make some difference but that some people here from their armchairs think they know better 🤷‍♀️

My school, very large secondary, has had everyone in masks at all times since september, no exceptions at all. If you can't/won't wear a mask, you can be beamed into the classroom remotely. It kept our cases relatively low until about december, when they started to climb within peer groups in older years.

It has been absolutely fine. I cannot understand why someone would object on principle.

On another thread I see people getting upset about being in another room with 1 to 8 other people who may not be wearing masks.
Why is it ok for teachers to be in a room, unmasked, 30 other unmasked people. And for secondary that would be a different 30 people every hour!

@DecemberSun

Sometimes, reading these threads, it feels as though some posters (often the same ones) just don't care if teachers are better protected or not.

Their stubborn insistence that teachers should risk their health is sociopathic.

It's very sad, the hostility against teachers. Some posters seem to actively want teachers to suffer. Why? Is it some kind of revenge against a teacher they personally dislike Confused
