Unfortunately it's not just paramedics- the whole of the NHS needs improved PPE in light of the transmissibility of the new strain.
Not a single person in my team had Covid following the introduction of surgical masks, gloves, distancing etc during the latter end of the first wave. This time around is an entirely different story and people are being told getting covid is an inevitabilty.

Everyone is entitled to a safe (as possible) workplace. Why isn't this all over the media?

That is a good question. I guess it's just being lost in the chaos of this wave, in that a lot of non HCP's are getting covid too. I think most are just resigned to getting it or are just hoping the vaccines kick in before they do!

The media is already saturated with tales of how this is affecting medical workers and pleas to protect them. They've hardly been forgotten.
