news.sky.com/story/covid-19-ice-cream-tests-positive-for-coronavirus-in-china-12188761

One of my weaknesses is Ice cream and having had a sore throat I have been eating a lot more of the stuff, but from the report above on Sky News I get the impression it isnt distributed to the UK, still a worry though as how it seems to be sneaking in to areas where you wouldnt expect to find it

Was it portugal where a politician did a test on the contents of a can of coke and it also tested positive? Does lend credence to the idea that false positives are very likely.

FlyMyPrettiesFly · 17/01/2021 14:38

That must be a false positive. I once cleaned oil off my driveway with coke. Nothing can live in it.

Haffiana · 17/01/2021 14:40

Yes yes, OP, the article specifically states that is is in YOUR ice-cream and YOU are at risk from this.
Hmm

Do spread the word around facebook as well, why don't you.

CoffeeandCroissant · 17/01/2021 14:41

Hundreds and thousands will have to self-isolate because of this.

Maybe someone can explain in detail how this could have happened?

JaquelineBeanstalk · 17/01/2021 14:50

I can’t wafer the official statement on this!

Fron reading the article they think it is a one off, and probably by an infected worker at the China Ice cream factory

JaquelineBeanstalk · 17/01/2021 16:03

It’s a Haagendaz-aster, darling!

greenlynx · 17/01/2021 16:07

Thanks, OP, it’s interesting.
It looks like one off which shows again that virus likes lower temperature and can survive in a freezer. I wouldn’t stop eating my Haagen Dazs but would continue washing hands after handing frozen products.
