Hi

I tested positive on the 12th January, with symptoms starting a few days beforehand.

The milder symptoms have gone but I can feel the COVID in my lungs - not pleasant. Does it take a while for these symptoms to ease? I just want to get better!

@dublingirl66 - it is :-(. Is this what you are currently feeling? When did you test positive?

I’ve still got it nearly ten months later, OP. The severe burning in the lungs has gone, along with the “fizzing” in the limb muscles, and altered sense of taste/smell, but the weird sensation of lung heaviness remains, along with the excess sputum production and the breathlessness at 100 yards slow walk. The fatigue and cough return every few weeks.
I hope you don’t join the long Covid club - we have over 60,000 members and none of us wanted to be in it.

I had this , just a feeling of it going into my lungs . I actually phoned the GP when I had this, and two lots of antibiotics later and 1 month on my lungs are feeling better , though I occasionally get wheezy and breathless on hills . I think steam helped too, it's a bit of a blur . I did loads of deep breathing exercises and lay on my front a lot . It's awful, I hope you're feeling better soon.
