Hi trying to work out if I can see my partner in this lockdown who is in my bubble?
We have been bubbled up since the start of Covid. He lives a few miles away, but still local. We both live alone half the time, the other with our kids. How far is classed as local these days??
It's all getting confusing & I don't want to break any rules here unnecessarily.

The guidance (but not law) is to form a bubble with someone local if possible. No distances are given. And you are allowed to form a bubble (if eligible) even if it's not local.

Local is irrelevant for a support bubble.

It’s guidance, but I read local is within 10 miles, but bubbles are definitely allowed.

Distance does not matter for support bubbles. See your partner Smile

My support bubble (DP) lives nearly 200 miles away. We still see each other every few weeks.

The government website advises forming a local support bubble if possible, but it is not a legal requirement:

You are allowed to stay away from home overnight with your support bubble:

It's fine. See your boyfriend.
