Can anyone give me some insight into working in care during the pandemic? If you are working with residents known to have tested positive, do you need to isolate from the rest of your family. Obviously you still work but does the fact you have PPE mean you don’t isolate?
Thanks

If you're working in a care setting then you should be wearing adequate PPE in all your interactions with clients. That means if they test positive, you should be protected so there would be no need to isolate.

Thanks for that, just starting new job. Don’t want to put family at risk.

Definitely don't have to self isolate. There would be no staff their. Also make sure you turn if the track and trace app. Otherwise If a colleague tests you will be notified to isolate as app doesn't know you were wearing ppr.
